Full-time form

The student should know: - key aspects of the history, geography, political system, social life, education, and traditions of Japan; - principles of using material related to the country-specific studies for teaching and translating Japanese. The student shall be able to: - understand and use socioculturally labeled vocabulary; - apply the principles of cross-cultural communication; - independently search for information related to the history and modern life of Japan.

The academic discipline "Japanese Country-Oriented Linguistics" is inextricably linked with the course "History of the Countries of the Region" and is also based on such disciplines as "Practical Course of Japanese Language", "History of the Language", "Theory of the Eastern Literature", etc. In the first semester, lectures and seminars of the content module 1 (CM1) include topics 1-8 ("General information about Japan", "History of Japan", "Constitution and state power", "Economics of Japan"), while lectures and seminars of the content module 2 (CM2) include topics 9-14 ("International Relations of Japan", "Educational system of Japan", "Social welfare"). For passing the examination the student shall have basic theoretical knowledge in this subject.

Forms of training: lectures, seminars, self-study. Teaching methods: explaining new material, actively listening, engaging in discussions, working in groups, discussing results.
