Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of courses: Oriental language (basic, intermediate, advanced level), Introduction to Oriental philology, Fundamentals of translation practice, Translation practice, Fundamentals of translation theory, Linguistic and Country Studies of the Eastern language. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, history and geography of China. 3. Possession of skills of literary and cultural analysis of original works.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to provide Chinese students with introductory information on the spoken language baihua in Chinese classical texts, as well as in-depth knowledge of the history of the language, which are actualized in the study of the spoken language baihua, its lexical and grammatical features and areas of use for skilled and creative activities at various stages of future learning and scientific work. The discipline is one of the selective disciplines of the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (translation inclusive), the first is Chinese)" under the program "Chinese Language and Literature and Translation, English" of the selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistics and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of organization of training: lecture and practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to practical lessons, modular control work with open answers. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. Semester number of points are formed by points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension of 60 points. The discipline ends with a credit, which is exhibited based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
