PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training. PLO18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in the framework of the selected philological specialization and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions. PLO 19. Have the skills of participation in scientific and / or applied research in the domain of philology.

Full-time form

To master successfully the academic disciplines provided by the OPP "Classical Philology and the English Language"; to know information on the theory and history of the Ancient Greek and Latin languages, the history of Ancient Greek and Roman literature, the methodology of scientific research; to have basic skills to collect and analyze, systematize and interpret linguistic and literary facts; skills of scientific research, skills of using information and communication technologies to solve professional tasks.

The goal is to establish the actual compliance of the level of educational and qualification training of the graduate with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of specialty 035 "Philology (035.08 Classical languages and literatures (including translation))" according to the OPP "Classical philology and English language". Abstract. The qualifying work is an independent scientific study in Classical languages and/or literatures. The work is aimed at checking professional knowledge in Classical Philology, the ability to critically analyze scientific sources, the future specialists’ ability and readiness to identify, theoretically substantiate, develop and solve current problems of Classical Philology using the latest methods and technologies. The preparation of the bachelor's thesis includes the stages of choosing and approving the topic, consulting with the academic supervisor, collecting material, processing sources and scientific theoretical-methodical and critical literature, drawing up a plan, writing the thesis, appropriate design of the thesis and defense.

Bachelor's qualifying work

The assessment for writing a bachelor's qualification thesis consists of three components: 1) assessment by the supervisor, who fills out the supervisor’s form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 2) evaluations by the reviewer, who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 3) marks for the defense of the qualification work, which is issued by the attestation commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the overall mark as an arithmetic whole of three components. The public defense of the qualification work is held in the form of a presentation using various forms of visualization of the report. The attestation commission evaluates the defense of the bachelor's qualification work based on the results of the report. A detailed description of the forms, criteria and organization of assessment is given in the working course program, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
