Learning outcomes
To know the nature of international communications, various formats of international cooperation, the problems of development of states and international regions in global, regional and local contexts. To prepare analytical statements and reports on the state of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies, as well as other diplomatic documents. To carry out activities in diplomatic and other areas related to international cooperation. To communicate free in the official language of Ukraine and foreign languages orally and in writing, on professional and scientific issues. To defend professionally the interests of Ukraine in various spheres of international relations.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To have general knowledge of the history of international relations and the history of Ukraine in particular. 2. To be able to analyze the dynamics of interstate diplomatic interaction. 3. To possess basic skills of political analysis, analysis of international situations and forecasting.
Course content
1. Diplomacy as an institution and instrument of foreign policy. Diplomatic and consular law 2. Legal principles of functioning and organizational structure of the diplomatic service of Ukraine 3. Legal regulation, specific features of training and work of diplomatic personnel. 4. Features of the organization of modern diplomatic services of the world

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers, comments, participation in discussion, presentation – up to 35 points. 2. Completion of an individual work – up to 13 points. 3.Module control work – up to 12 points. 4. Written exam – up to 40 points.
