LO1. To analyze and interpret mental phenomena, identify psychological problems and suggest ways to resolve them. LO2. To understand patterns and tendencies of the development and functioning of mental phenomena in the professional tasks’ context.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the facts, laws and dependencies of general psychology.
2. To be able to implement methods of research of mental phenomena from the workshop of general psychology.
3. To have basic skills of formation of the basic regulators of activity and behavior in group on the basis of the studied discipline "Introduction to a specialty".
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the field of science that studies the individual differences in the psyche of individuals and groups of people, as well as the nature, sources and consequences of these differences; scientific study of the laws of mental variation, as well as the study of the mechanisms of formation and development of human individuality as a holistic phenomenon.
The discipline is designed to form a holistic view of: differential psychology as a theoretical and applied science, its methodological principles and psychometric foundations; history of formation of scientific branch and directions of modern differential psychological researches; basic coordinates of human personality: temperament, character, abilities and style, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system.
Assessment during the training period:
oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in the discussion, additions), performance of practical, creative tasks, final test.
Final assessment - credit. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100. The recommended minimum for admission to the test - 36 points.
The maximum number of 40 points, the minimum number of points added to the semester - 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the test).
60-100 - credited; 0-59 - not credited.
