Learning outcomes
LO04. To know, understand and be able to use in practice the basic concepts of the theory of geography, as well as worldview sciences.
LO05. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of geographical sciences.
LO08. Apply models and methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying natural and social processes of formation and development of geospheres.
LO10. To know the goals of sustainable development and the possibilities of one's professional sphere to achieve them, including in Ukraine.
LO14. Understand basic environmental laws, rules and principles of environmental protection and nature management
LO15. Understand the main concepts, theoretical and practical problems in the field of natural sciences, which are necessary for analysis and decision-making in the field of ecology, environmental protection and optimal use of nature

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Geoecology", "Biogeographyfiya", "Economic and social geography of the world".

3. To be able to realize the values of civil (free democracy social) of society and the need for its sustainable development, to show character anthropogenic pressure in the system "man - society - nature", under conditions of nonsufficiency of information, find the necessary information on the Internet and analyze the received information.
4. Possess elementary skills of analyzing complex geoecological logical problems under the angle of economic and social factors; works with car-
topographical materials and use of professional terminology.
Course content
The educational discipline is devoted to the study of global problems, the deepening of theoretical knowledge about the state of the world at the beginning of the third millennium, the formation of geoecological thinking and competencies in future specialists. Separate components of the discipline are the coverage of the complex nature of the climate change process and related problematic issues - desertification, loss of biodiversity, food resources, drinking water, and population migration. Lecture materials reveal the problems of demographic explosion, urbanization, pollution of the world ocean and inland seas, shortage of water resources and dangers associated with the circulation of toxic compounds and chemicals.

Assessment methods and criteria
Discussion, survey. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the credit.
- the final evaluation in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points during the assessment is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester grades is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the assessment).
