Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to master the educational practice program and acquire the skills and abilities to perform geodetic work, topographic, phototopographic and cadastral surveying, students must have basic knowledge of geodesy, topography, photogrammetry, mathematical processing of the results of geodetic measurements, meteorology, physics, radio electronics and know the basic principles, methods and methods of carrying out topographical and geodetic works.
Course content
Educational practice is the next stage in the students' mastery of the methods of conducting topographical and geodetic works and is intended to consolidate the theoretical knowledge obtained during the study of educational disciplines: "Topography with the basics of geodesy", "Topographic surveys", "Analytical and digital photogrammetry". Educational practice in topographic surveys and satellite technologies is conducted in three stages: the first is preparatory, the second is field; the third is chamber. Educational practice should provide students with 1) an idea of the organization, technological schemes of carrying out geodetic, topographic and field phototopographic works in conditions close to production, 2) the necessary practical skills in mastering the technology and methods of performing field and camera work using modern geodetic devices and specialized Software. The practice program envisages carrying out a complex of topographical and geodetic works, which includes: organizational and preparatory work; field inspections of geodetic instruments, development of graded plan-altitude geodetic networks: execution of angular, linear, leveling and ground-satellite observations of relevant grades and classes, preliminary and leveling calculations using strict methods with cataloging of coordinates and heights of network points; ground-satellite and electronic-tacheometric topographic survey of the territory; drawing up a digital topographic plan; UAV shooting with anchoring and decoding of aerial photographs; design of graphic and report documentation. The duration of the educational practice is 6 weeks (6 ECTS credits). Practice is conducted in the 2nd year of training in the fourth semester. The total amount of practice according to the plan is 180 hours.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Instructional meetings, practical tasks, independent work, practical tasks, independent work, practical tasks, preparation of a report, interview, evaluation of practical skills and/or results of tasks performed in practice, report, evaluation of the results of independent work, defense of a report from practice.
Assessment methods and criteria
Educational practice ends with a differentiated assessment. The assessment is a summation of the work of each student during practice, determination of the level of knowledge and skills acquired by him and consists of a team-individual defense of the report by each student. Students who have completed all the tasks according to the practice program, drawn up the practice report, appendices and drawn up a topographic plan in accordance with the requirements are allowed to defend the report and credit. Assessment of knowledge, skills and practical skills of students on the test is carried out on a 100-point scale, followed by its conversion into a traditional assessment for recording in reporting documents. The condition for receiving a positive final grade in the discipline is to achieve at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points. Individual control is carried out after a successful brigade defense of the practice report by means of a personal survey.
