Learning outcomes
PR01. Analyze the features of natural and anthropogenic systems and objects of the Earth's geosphere. PR03. To be able to communicate with specialists and experts of various levels in other fields of knowledge, including in an international context, in a global information environment. PR10. Demonstrate the ability to adapt and act in a new situation related to work in the specialty, the ability to generate new ideas in the field of Earth sciences. PR12. Model geospheric objects and processes, using cartographic and mathematical methods and geoinformation technologies. PR13. Identify and classify known and register new objects in geospheres, their properties, phenomena and processes inherent in them.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Possession of an educational degree of Bachelor of Earth Sciences, successful study of professionally oriented disciplines of the curriculum of the first year of study of the second level of higher education.
Course content
To expand students' existing basic knowledge of web cartography with the theory of web-oriented cartography, as well as proper practical skills in searching for various cartographic information on the Internet and using modern software used for interactive creation of maps using this electronic environment.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The program of the academic discipline consists of the following content modules: 1. "Communicative capabilities of the Internet". 2. "Mapping with the help of telecommunications networks."
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms and organization of assessment: current (semester) assessment (practical papers (minimum grade 24, maximum 40; control papers (6-10); independent work (5-10)); final (final) assessment in the form of an exam (assessment for knowledge theory (minimum 12, maximum 20 points), assessment for the practical part (13-20). For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 35 points, for admission to the final control form, it is necessary to pass an additionally completed individual complex task.
