Learning outcomes
Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms. Demonstrate knowledge of heredity and variability, molecular mechanisms of conservation and realization of genetic information and importance in evolutionary processes. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. Present the results of scientific work in writing (in the form of a report, scientific publications, etc.) and orally (in the form of reports and defense of the report) using modern technologies, to conduct discussions correctly.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of courses "Cytology", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Biochemistry". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics, cytology, biochemistry. Ability to independently apply knowledge of chemistry, physics, general biology and other disciplines, use a computer, work with scientific literature.
Course content
"General molecular genetics of man" covers the laws of heredity and variability of man. study In the course of studying the discipline the practical application and significance of certain methods in the field of science and in other spheres of social activity (medicine, criminology) are given or demonstrated.
