Learning outcomes
Collect information about the general condition of the patient, assess the psychomotor and physical development of the patient, the state of organs and systems of the body, based on the results of laboratory and instrumental studies to assess information about the diagnosis. Prescribe and analyze additional (mandatory and optional) methods of examination (laboratory, radiological, functional and / or instrumental), patients with diseases of organs and systems of the body for the differential diagnosis of diseases. Analyze and evaluate government, social and medical information using standard approaches and computer information technology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of disciplines from all medical disciplines, both normative, in particular "Human Anatomy", "Normal Physiology", and special disciplines "Pharmacology", "Immunology", "Endocrinology", "Hepatology", etc. Ability to independently apply knowledge of basic disciplines (medical biology, medical and biological physics, bioorganic and biological chemistry, histology, cytology, embryology, virology, immunology and radiology), etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The program of the discipline "Gastroenterology", which is taught in the 3rd year, involves improving knowledge of current issues of theory and practice of the most common diseases and syndromes found in gastroenterology and related to diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, healthy lifestyle and prevention of major gastric diseases -intestinal tract (GC). Types of classes according to the curriculum are: a) practical classes, b) independent work of students. Thematic plans of laboratory classes and independent work reveal the problematic issues of gastrointestinal diseases. It is also possible to master / get acquainted with the procedures most often used for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
