Learning outcomes
Find solutions in professional activities, have sufficient competence in the methods of independent research, be able to interpret their results. Possess and apply knowledge and skills in general and professional training in solving specialized tasks. Analyze the results of studies of morphological and functional state of the organism and the environment, assess the importance of indicators. Demonstrate the deepening of basic knowledge through self-education, demonstrate the ability to present and evaluate their own experience and analyze and apply the experience of colleagues, demonstrate the ability to share experiences with other professionals. Apply diagnostic methods to measure structural changes and impaired body functions, interpret the information obtained, demonstrating evidence-based decision making. Coordinate, modify and combine different research methods in order to perform typical and atypical professional tasks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of cytology, immunology, genetics and molecular biology. 3. Knowledge of the basic principles of basic laboratory research methods.
Course content
Discipline "Laboratory research in criminology" includes students mastering the basic properties of blood and other biological secretions of man, which allow to establish their presence and species specificity, evaluation of molecular genetic studies of samples and traces of biological origin, aimed at identifying or determining biological kinship of persons, their interpretation and formulation of the relevant conclusion.
