Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful mastery of the disciplines "Oriental language (higher level)", "Methodology of teaching an Oriental language in a general education specialized school of the III degree"; 2. knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the methodology of teaching Oriental languages in higher education and related pedagogical disciplines; 3. knowledge of the regularities of the educational process in foreign language classes at higher education institutions.
Course content
The purpose of the educational discipline is to provide the basis of methodical preparation of students for the implementation of the functions of an oriental language teacher in higher education institutions. "Methodology of Chinese language teaching in higher education" is a professional discipline for students majoring in "Oriental philology, Western European language and translation: Chinese language and literature"; taught in semesters 1 and 2, the scope of the discipline is 3 credits. In the first semester, 30 study hours (2 hours - lectures, 2 hours - seminars, 26 hours -unsupervised work), form of control - intermediate control. In the second semester, 60 study hours (2 hours – lectures, 2 hours – seminars, 2 hours – consultations, 54 hours – unsupervised work), form of control – exam. The main tasks of studying the discipline are to get acquainted with the main components of the theory of modern foreign language learning.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of the semester work is carried out in the following forms: oral response at the seminar class, additions, participation in the discussion, blitz survey, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result:In case of the mid-term control:- in the maximum dimension of 100 points,In case of the exam:The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).In case of absence from the seminar session, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar.
