Learning outcomes
Rules of good laboratory practice; modern medical technologies of laboratory researches; determination of a set of laboratory tests for the most common pathologies; determination of the optimal set of laboratory tests for disease verification; types of laboratory and instrumental research; basic principles in the preparation and transportation of biological material for laboratory research; basic principles of selection of biological material in patients for laboratory research; features of laboratory research at the systemic, tissue, cellular and molecular levels; basic rules for registration of laboratory test results and forms of providing these results to the customer (doctor, patient, etc.); rules of acquaintance of results of laboratory research in disputable cases; basics of medical and laboratory ethics when working with biological material.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The basis for studying the discipline "Modern Laboratory Research" are mandatory courses "Human Anatomy", "Medical Chemistry", "Cytology and Histology", "Analytical Chemistry", "Laboratory Engineering", "Human Physiology", "Embryology" , "Clinical laboratory diagnostics".
Course content
The discipline "Modern Laboratory Research" is a component of the training of specialists of the educational level "Bachelor" in the field of "Laboratory Diagnostics". The main task of the discipline is to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills of modern laboratory research in establishing and verifying the diagnosis of patients with the most common diseases, objective assessment of health, diagnosis of diseases, monitoring the effectiveness of treatment, further prognosis and quality of life .

Test current control, modular tests, evaluation of abstracts, answers to questions in laboratory classes. Final assessment in the form of an exam.
