2. Organize and carry out work on urban monitoring and inventory at horticultural facilities, natural and cultural landscapes and compiling a cadastre of greenery. 9. Present the results of research in the field of horticulture to specialists and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the main environmental problems inherent in the urban environment; features of functioning of urban ecosystems; theoretical bases and methods of monitoring lands, atmospheric air, surface waters and flora; the content of current standards for planning, organizing and conducting the state monitoring system within Ukraine. 2. Be able to: at the professional level to perform a comprehensive assessment of quality indicators of the urban environment; make professionally sound management decisions to preserve and improve quality indicators, which are regulated within the urban environment; to keep records of urban green areas, keep their register and perform their certification. 3. Have the terminology and basic concepts related to the functioning of the environmental monitoring system, environmental approaches to the regulation of anthropogenic pressures
Course content
The subject "Urban Monitoring and accounting of green areas" is a compulsory subject. It is designed to form students' comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the system of state environmental monitoring in urban landscapes of Ukraine. It outlines issues related to the legal framework for regulating the interaction between the subjects of the monitoring system. Quantitative and qualitative indicators that determine the state of atmospheric air, water resources, soils and flora, as well as methods of accounting for green spaces in cities and their certification are presented.
