PR05. Possess at the operational level methods of observation, description, identification, classification, cultivation of ornamental plants and plant horticultural groups, maintaining their decorative, stability and stability in the complex green zone of the city. PR16. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of ​​biodiversity conservation to increase productivity, increase sustainability and ecological plasticity of artificial phytocenoses and natural ecosystems in modern urban landscapes under global climate change.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the theoretical foundations of taxonomy and nomenclature, morphology and anatomy of higher plants. 2. Be able to determine the basic patterns of distribution of plant organisms, their groups on land and in the World Ocean. 3. Possess basic skills of cartography, determination of habitats of taxonomic units (family, genus, species, subspecies).
Course content
The course is devoted to general issues of patterns of geographical distribution of plant species and the main types of vegetation on Earth. The relevant sections of the course consider general issues of plant geography, patterns of formation, features of the structure and classification of phytocenoses; the main types of vegetation and features of floristic kingdoms, botanical bases of resource science and bases of phytodiversity conservation are described in detail.
