Verify the results of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of childhood diseases (norm / pathology). Verify the results of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of infectious diseases (norm / pathology). Perform laboratory tests to diagnose parasitic infestations. Perform sanitary and hygienic studies of environmental objects, physical and chemical factors, anthropogenic influences, etc. with the preparation of the conclusion

Know: - Epidemiological concepts that characterize the manifestations of the epidemic process / endemic, exotic, sporadic, epidemic morbidity, epidemic outbreak, pandemic /. - Mechanisms, ways and factors of transmission of viral infections. - The main directions of anti-epidemic work in emergencies. - The role and importance of epidemiology in preventing the emergence and spread of infectious diseases at the population level. - Epidemiological method of research, principles of formulation of hypotheses about risk factors for certain infectious diseases. - Source and reservoir of infectious diseases. The concept of anthroponoses, zoonoses and sapronoses. Sick person and carrier, their epidemiological role. - Components of operational and retrospective epidemiological analysis.
Course content
The discipline highlights the system of skills on the basis of research into the causes, conditions and mechanisms of disease formation of the population. The discipline teaches to analyze the peculiarities of the distribution of epidemics by territory, among different population groups and over time. Covers issues in the use of data for the development of disease prevention tools. Teaches to make recommendations for the prevention and control of this disease, to form a forecast of the spread of the disease under study. The discipline is designed to summarize ideas about current and forecast future trends and directions of basic research in the epidemiology of infections for future career guidance.
