PR01. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to research and design of biotechnological processes. Use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes. PR19. Be able to use computer-aided design systems to develop technological and hardware schemes of biotechnological productions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites: 1. Be able to solve systems of linear equations. 2. Know the basics of integral and differential calculus, complex analysis. 3. Know the basics of optics, electricity and magnetism. 4. Know the basics of digital technology and programming.
Course content
The subject of the discipline is the study of elements of metrology, means and methods of measurement, the principles of measuring the main technological parameters in given conditions with a given accuracy. The discipline also considers the basic principles and laws of regulation, their technical implementation using the means of feedback on the objects of management. Students get acquainted with the functioning of automation systems in general, as well as with industrial controllers and modern means of human-machine interface. In laboratory work, students acquire practical skills in measuring some parameters of technological processes, skills in building mathematical models of control systems and skills in programming controllers.
