Learning outcomes
PR01. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. Use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes. PR02. To be able to carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances of inorganic, organic and biological origin using appropriate methods. PR11. To be able to carry out basic genetic and cytological studies to improve and increase the biosynthetic capacity of biological agents, taking into account the principles of biosafety, biosecurity and bioethics (induced mutagenesis using physical and chemical mutagenic factors, selection and accumulation of auxotrophic mutants, transfer of genetic information, etc.)
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Physics", "Biochemistry", "Molecular and Biological Basics of Biotechnology", "Genetic Basics of Biotechnological Processes". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of mathematics, molecular biology, physics, biochemistry, biotechnology. 3. Ability to independently apply knowledge of biotechnology, biochemistry and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature.
Course content
"Genetic and Cellular Engineering covers the study of modern methods of cellular and genetic engineering to create lines with new useful traits. In the course of studying the discipline, the practical application and significance of individual methods in biotechnology are presented or demonstrated.
