Course content
The discipline "Biology of Sensory Systems" covers theoretical and practical aspects of the structure and functioning of the visual, auditory, vestibular, taste, olfactory and somatosensory systems. The discipline forms an understanding of subjective and objective sensory biology and physiology, research methods and basic concepts of sensory biology. The structure, classification and molecular processes of transduction in receptors and central conducting pathways and processing of sensory information in the central nervous system are studied.
