Learning outcomes
PRO1. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. Use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes. PRO4. Be able to apply the provisions of regulatory documents governing the procedure for product certification. PR14. To be able to justify the choice of biological agent, composition of the culture medium and method of cultivation, necessary auxiliary works and the main stages of the technological process. PR 22. To be able to take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects, occupational health and safety requirements, industrial sanitation and fire safety in the formation of technical solutions. Be able to use different types and forms of physical activity for active recreation and healthy lifestyle.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "Cell Biology", "Molecular Biology "," Plant Anatomy and Physiology "," Human and Animal Physiology ", "Microbiology", "Immunology", "Virology", "General Genetics", "Biotechnology". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment that used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
Biosafety and biosecurity are relatively new areas of knowledge whose main task to protect the population from biological threats of various origins. Depending on the field application, the terms biosafety and biosecurity are interpreted differently. Within this The discipline will consider mainly laboratory biosafety and biosecurity, the main purpose of which is to protect the researcher from hazardous biological materials with which he works. In addition, as an element of the formation of a culture of biosafety and biosecurity, will also be considered bioethics, in particular the concept of responsibility of the scientist. Biosafety and biosecurity not only reduce the risks of research and protect the worker, but also prevent the intentional or unintentional use of research results to cause harm.
