Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of scientific, theoretical and practical material of such disciplines as "Cell Biology", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Biochemistry", "Fundamentals of Biotechnology", "Immunology", "Virology", "Microbiology", "Molecular Biological Basics of Biotechnology". 2) Ability to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of elementary skills in working with materials and equipment used in practical biochemistry; skills of independent search for information and its generalization.
Course content
The discipline "Immunoassay in Biotechnology" covers the study of the main theoretical and practical aspects of modern immunological methods that can find their practical application in the biotechnology industry, or be the object of biotechnological development and production. The purpose of teaching the discipline "Immunoassay in Biotechnology" is to provide students with fundamental knowledge in the field of immunochemistry, as well as to develop appropriate practical skills in the application of immunological methods and peculiarities of interpretation of results. The complex of laboratory works and practical classes, developed in accordance with the theoretical material of the discipline, is aimed at developing students' practical skills in reproducing the basic methods of immunoassay, such as serological methods, solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunoblotting, immunoelectrophoresis, etc.
