Course content
The subject of the discipline "Innovative directions in zoology" are the methodological foundations of modern zoology. In this discipline, students have the opportunity to get acquainted with a variety of modern methods and approaches used in zoological research, as well as to master the skills of working with appropriate technical means and information technology. As a result of studying this discipline students will know how to study qualitative and quantitative indicators of groups of animals in nature and laboratory conditions, features of optical, X-ray, electron and ion microscopy in animal studies, methods of morphometry and three-dimensional reconstruction of animals, specialized computer programs. used in zoological research. Students will also learn about the basic principles of organizing a modern zoological laboratory.
