Course content
The discipline of "genetic monitoring" is a basic biological discipline that deals with methods of assessing the emergence and accumulation of genotoxic substances in the environment, namely, studying the spectrum of their mutational effects and the ability to induce genetic disorders. The discipline is designed to summarize the idea of different systems for assessing the risks associated with environmental pollution, as well as determining the genetic burden in populations of living organisms. The course aims to acquaint students with the basic methods of biological diagnosis of environmental objects and the basic principles of genetic monitoring and its importance for assessing genetic risks to humans.
