Learning outcomes
PR04. Communicate orally and in writing on professional issues using scientific terms accepted in the professional environment, in national and foreign languages. PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure, life processes and functions of living organisms, understand the mechanisms of regulation of physiological functions to maintain the homeostasis of biological systems. PR22. Combine the skills of independent and teamwork to achieve results with an emphasis on integrity, professional integrity and responsibility for decision-making. PR27.11. Calculate, analyze and interpret physiological indicators that reflect reactive and adaptive changes of the human body to various influences and workloads.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of academic disciplines "Human Physiology and Anatomy", "General Cytology", "Histology", "Biology of Individual Development". 2. Be able to independently use knowledge of the above disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Have the skills to take notes, systematize and assimilate information.
Course content
The discipline "Physiology of the excretory and sexual systems" consists of two modules, which are devoted to explaining the mechanisms of functioning and regulation of the functions of the excretory and reproductive systems. During the study of the discipline the student develops an understanding of the mechanisms of urination and its regulation, the role of the excretory system in maintaining a number of homeostatic parameters of the body. The second module examines the cellular and molecular mechanisms of reproduction, the functioning of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal gonadal system at different stages of ontogenetic development, the role of hormonal factors and environment in the regulation of gametogenesis, sexual differentiation during embryogenesis and influence
