Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Biochemistry", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Human and Animal Physiology", "Immunology", "Virology", "General Genetics", "Molecular Biology", "Biotechnology".
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work.
3. Have the skills to work with scientific and methodological literature.
Course content
The discipline "Genetic Engineering" studies the possibilities of using genetic engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc. to obtain transgenic organisms (microorganisms, animals and plants) with new useful features, as well as the use of their products: enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, antibiotics, secondary metabolites, etc.
