PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR05. Use knowledge and demonstrate compliance with the provisions of biological ethics, biological safety and biological protection. PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms. PR14. Use knowledge and understanding of the basics of general ecology, the principles of optimal nature management and nature protection. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology.

Full-time form

1. To know the characteristic morpho-biological and ecological features of the main types of invertebrates and chordates. 2. Be able to determine the main groups (types, classes) of animals on diagnostic grounds. 3. Have basic skills in using specialized computer programs to present data in text format, search and analyze information in specialized journals and the Internet.

The discipline "Laboratory Workshop on Zoology" is an elective discipline, which is part of the program of professional training of specialists of the educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". In the laboratory workshop on zoology, students have the opportunity to learn about methods of collecting, keeping, preserving and researching certain classes of vertebrates, as well as gain skills in planning, conducting and analytical evaluation of research results in zoology and ecology.
