Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "General Genetics", "Human and Animal Physiology", "Immunology", "Biochemistry". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics, molecular biology, biochemistry, general genetics, etc. disciplines, the ability to use theoretical knowledge of these disciplines to solve practical problems. 3. Possession of basic skills in working with scientific electronic databases in the scientific literature and the ability to system analysis.
Course content
"Human Genetics" covers the study of inheritance and variability of normal and pathological human traits. When studying the general aspects of attention is given to the shortcomings of human preferences as a genetic object, methods used in human genetics, human genome organization, patterns of inheritance of mendelian and multifactorial traits, selected issues of developmental genetics, genetics of behavior and intelligence, genetic aspects of evolution and distribution of Homo sapiens sapiens sapiens. In acquaintance with the basics of medical genetics, the classification of hereditary diseases, molecular mechanisms of pathological conditions in the manifestation of hereditary diseases, the basics of oncogenetics and genetics of mental illness are considered.
