Learning outcomes
Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances and their mixtures. Demonstrate the use of knowledge about morphological changes of tissues and organs for the diagnosis of pathological conditions, identify false results and seek measures for their correction. Verify the results of laboratory tests in the internal medicine clinic (norm / pathology). Verify the results of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of infectious diseases (norm / pathology).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the academic discipline "Medical Chemistry", "Human Cytology and Histology", "Analytical Chemistry", "Laboratory Techniques", "Medical and Biological Physics", "Human Anatomy". 2. The ability to independently implement knowledge from the disciplines "Medical Chemistry", "Analytical Chemistry", "Laboratory Techniques", "Medical and Biological Physics", "Human Anatomy". 3. Possession of elementary skills of system analysis.
Course content
The educational discipline "Infectious diseases with evaluation of research results" is a component of the training of specialists at the "bachelor" educational level in the field of training "Laboratory diagnostics" and "Dietology". One of the important sections of the formation and development of modern medicine is the sufficient objectivity of the quality of laboratory research, the timely provision of practical doctors with the necessary modern laboratory information. Teaching the educational discipline "Infectious diseases with evaluation of research results" will provide the future laboratory doctor and nutritionist with knowledge about the clinic, diagnosis and prevention of infectious diseases, the organization of the work of the laboratory service and the clinical diagnostic laboratory (CDL) for the diagnosis of infectious diseases, as well as conducting internal and external quality control.
