Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Physics", "Chemistry", "Ecology", "Basics of meteorology", "Hydrology of rivers", "Hydrology of lakes", "Basics of hydrochemistry". 2. To know the theoretical foundations of physical geography, general hydrology and meteorology. 3. Possess elementary skills of morphometric calculations, cartographic information processing methods, computer technologies, hydrometric measurement skills, the ability to conduct a biological assessment of water quality 4. Possess elementary skills of system analysis, understand cause-and-effect relationships between components of nature.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is for students to gain a systematic understanding of hydrological processes and factors, such as those that shape the ecological state of water bodies. The student should have a good idea of the place and role of hydrological factors in the functioning of ecosystems, the importance of water resources, the essence of hydrological processes occurring in rivers and reservoirs; to be able to evaluate their contribution to the formation of water quality; must possess the system of scientific knowledge and research methods in the field of hydrology, issues of application of hydrological knowledge in practice. The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of hydrological processes, in particular in terms of the following main issues: (external water exchange, internal reservoir dynamics, hydrophysical characteristics of water masses) as environmental factors. The educational discipline "Ecological hydrology" is a component of the comprehensive training of specialists of the educational and qualification level "bachelor" specialty 103 "Earth sciences" of the educational program "Management and ecology of water resources".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. Evaluation is carried out throughout the semester for all types of work, including independent work.
