Course content
The leading role of the water component of the natural complex can be traced throughout the history of mankind and in all spheres of human activity: from settlement to entertainment. In the 21st century the use of water for recreational purposes is put on the same level as economic and drinking water supply, industrial, agricultural and energy water use. Recreational water use is interpreted as an activity of the population related to recreation, sports and tourism in the water area and coast of water bodies. In fact, the zone of recreational water use reaches 1.5-2 km from the water cut due to the territories of long walks. Students should learn the basics of scientific analysis and assessment of recreational water use resources, the basis of which are water objects, the recreational potential of which consists in the set of components of water (aquatic) and coastal (territorial) complexes, their properties and individual parameters that allow the most complete satisfaction of needs in various types of leisure.
