The main tasks of the exploration service. The place of geophysical methods among the general hierarchy of geological methods. Modern organization of geological service. Structure of the Geological Survey of Ukraine. State Committee of Ukraine for Geology and Subsoil Use Geological Information Service. Geofunds. Connection of geological organizations with the Academy of Sciences, universities, branch institutes. Coordination of the geological service with the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers, line ministries, departments, banks. State Commission on Mineral Reserves (SCP). Problems of geological service. Sources of funding. World practice of financing and providing geophysical works in search of different types of minerals, solving problems of ecology, national defense, space research. World, European and national geophysical organizations. Union of Geophysicists of Ukraine, its tasks, structure, connection with other geophysical organizations.

Full-time form

Code of Laws "On Subsoil". Draft Law of Ukraine "On the State Geological Survey". Law of Ukraine "On Ecological Expertise". Problems of standardization and metrology in the geological field.

Acquaintance of students with: practice of planning and organization of geological and geophysical works performed at the expense of the state budget; structure of the geological branch of Ukraine; existing regulatory framework; the procedure for passing tenders (competitions) for the performance of geological exploration works; the procedure for preparing and passing the design and estimate documentation; requirements for reporting, actuation and debiting.

Lectures, practical classes and independent work of students

The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher) and modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral test.
