• to acquaint students with the physical basis of methods of geophysical research in wells, typical wells and ground equipment of GDS methods • acquisition by students of the necessary methodological and methodological knowledge of GDS • Acquisition by students of basic knowledge on the basics of interpretation of GDS data, including the use of computerized technologies.

Full-time form

1. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of modern physics and electronics. 2. Mastery of personal computer skills and modern software.

The discipline presents the physical foundations of electrical, radioactive, acoustic, magnetic, thermal, geochemical, geological and technological methods of well research; application of computer technologies for processing and interpretation of GDS materials; areas of their application to oil, gas, coal, various ores, water.

Lectures, practical classes and independent work of students

The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: performance of 10 practical works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher) and 6 modular tests. Assessment in the 7th semester involves an intermediate control, which is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester, as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the 7th semester. There is no separate form of control at the end of the 7th semester. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral exam.
