Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of mathematical disciplines, including discrete mathematics, basics of combinatorics, mathematical analysis, linear algebra
Course content
The discipline provides knowledge on the formation of a system of theoretical knowledge and practical skills on the basics of probabilistic and statistical apparatus, the ability to work with basic probabilistic models, mastering the basic methods of mathematical statistics. Study of the basic principles and tools of probabilistic-statistical apparatus, elaboration and application of the acquired knowledge to applied problems that require probabilistic-statistical analysis.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes and independent work of students
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: performance of practical and independent work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher). Assessment in the 4th semester involves a test, which is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester, as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the 4th semester, and 3 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted at the end of the 5th semester in the form of a written exam.
