Know the stages of formation, structure and general trends in the world economy; know the basic concepts, principles and trends of international exchange of goods and services; know the advantages and disadvantages of the main forms of organization of international scientific and technical exchange; know the essence and main trends of international capital movements; know the essence, evolution and characteristics of the international monetary and financial system; know the main directions and forms of transnationalization of the world economy; know the types and dynamics of cyclical development of the world economy; know the main trends of globalization of the world economy; know the general characteristics and main trends of economic development of the world's leading countries; be able to analyse the main trends in the world economy; be able to determine the main trends in world trade, its geographical and commodity structure;

Prerequisites and co-requisites
It is assumed that students have basic economic knowledge of economic geography and the basics of economic theory, macroeconomics.

Introduction.
Topic 1. The US economy: the evolution of the economic model
in the context of globalization
Topic 2. Japan's participation in the world economy
Topic 3. Economics and politics of Germany
Topic 4. French economy: dynamics, structure, innovation, efficiency.
Topic 5. The British economy: development outside the EU
Topic 6. Italian economy
Topic 7. China's economy: a modern model of economic development
Topic 8. The Indian economy: factors and limitations of economic development

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers, business cases: – 50 points.
2. Execution of individual independent work: – 30 points
