Learning outcomes
Acquaintance of students with structural schemes of signal reception and processing devices and their main parameters: sensitivity, selectivity, faithfulness of message reproduction; features of construction of preselector paths of receiving devices, theory and circuitry of frequency converters of radio receivers, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the laws describing the behavior of electric circuits, the main types of analog and digital electronic devices used in radio electronics. To be able to use the apparatus of elementary and higher mathematics. Have basic skills in working with mathematical software packages.
Course content
Input circuits of radio receiving devices. Analysis of selective amplifiers. Frequency converters. Detectors of radio signals. Manual and automatic adjustment of frequency and gain. Immunity of radio receivers and methods of its analysis. Features of construction and analysis of receiving devices of digital communication systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: performance of laboratory work (up to 60 points). Final evaluation in the form of an exam - up to 40 points.
