Learning outcomes
Students mastering the methods of generating and modulating signals of given properties in communication tasks, and their passage through numerous cascades of transmission channels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the laws describing the behavior of electric circuits, the main types of analog and digital electronic devices used in radio electronics. To be able to use the apparatus of elementary and higher mathematics. Have basic skills in working with mathematical and radio engineering software packages.
Course content
RC generator. LC generator. Nonlinear properties of amplifying cascades. Amplitude of stable oscillations in an autogenerator. The generator is controlled by voltage. Phase noise. Noises and their influence on signal transmission. Filters and their characteristics. Signal modulation. Impedance matching. Method of constant gain circuits. Signal formation and transmission channels.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 46 hrs, practical lessons - 30 hrs, laboratory work - 14 hrs, independent work - 90 hrs, total - 180 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: two modular control papers (up to 20 points each), laboratory works (up to 20 points) - together up to 60 points. Final evaluation in the form of an exam - up to 40 points.
