2. Apply specialized conceptual knowledge in political science, which includes modern scientific achievements in the field of professional activity or field of knowledge and is the basis for original thinking and research, critical thinking of problems in the field and at the boundaries of knowledge. 4. Make effective decisions on policy, political science and related issues, including in difficult and unpredictable conditions; to predict the development of political processes; identify the factors that affect them and the achievement of goals; analyze and compare alternatives; assess the risks and likely consequences of policy decisions. 7. Manage complex activities in the field of politics, political science and in broader contexts, develop plans and measures for their implementation, ensure the quality of education, evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of activities. 10. Participate productively in scientific cooperation at both national and international levels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students must know the basic stages and characteristics of political processes, basic theories and methods of political science, have an idea of ​​the mechanisms of measuring political power, political life, political processes. Be able to collect and interpret information on political phenomena and phenomena, political processes and events. Have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional information sources, have the basics of political culture.
Course content
The discipline introduces students to the basics of comparative research, which is a new interdisciplinary field. The subject, tasks, theoretical bases, methodologies, the basic directions and problems of modern researches are defined. The principles of dynamics of change of political regimes (traditional, modern society) are clarified, attention is paid to the problems of the main stages of development of theories, approaches to the analysis of political processes, features of subdiscipline development in different countries. The principles of comparative analysis of the behavior of the subjects are considered, the main typologies of democratic transit are outlined. The variability of modern regimes, which is the result of the influence of interrelated factors (political, economic, religious) within national and regional relations, is explained.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral reports, discussions, presentation of independent research, review of sources with analytical commentary. Criteria. The following are subject to assessment in seminars: the level of knowledge and completeness of disclosure of the issue in oral reports; activity in discussing issues and argumentation of one's own position in discussions; use of additional sources in preparing the report; ability to critically analyze ideas and statements presented for discussion; meaningful content of the presentation material and its free and interesting presentation. Criteria for evaluating independent work (essays, analytical research) are the presence of independent, scientifically sound commentary (with reference to the main and additional literature for the course), the formulation of opinions using professional terminology and compliance with deadlines for independent work
