Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the course, the student must know the basic properties of matter in magnetic and electric fields, the basic provisions of statistical physics of non-ideal systems; be able to study the properties of matter in magnetic and electric fields; solve problems of statistical physics of imperfect systems; substantiate the basic properties of matter in magnetic and electric fields and the basic provisions of statistical physics of non-ideal systems.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know physics and mathematics at a level that corresponds to the qualification "Bachelor of Physics", in particular To master the discipline requires knowledge of the courses "Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics", "Electrodynamics", "Quantum Mechanics". Be able to apply the knowledge of the above courses. Possess basic skills of mathematical transformations, calculation of derivatives and integrals of functions; solving differential equations.
Course content
The discipline "Additional sections of statistical physics" is a component of the educational-professional program "Physics" on the educational degree "Bachelor". The course is devoted to the study of methods for studying the properties of matter in magnetic and electric fields and their application in practice. Learning outcomes are the ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in physics and astronomy in professional activities or in the process of further study, which involves the application of certain theories and methods of physics and astronomy and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty.

The total amount of 120 hours, including: Lectures - 14 hours. Practical classes - 30 hours. Consultations - 1 hour. Independent work - 75 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: - semester assessment: 1. Modular test - 12 points 2. Defense of reports of independent works, oral answers, tasks - 60 points. 3. Defense of the abstract - 8 points. - final assessment: in the form of a test The form of the test is to write a written work followed by an oral interview - 20 points. Mandatory condition for admission to the test is to work on all independent work and write a modular test. An applicant is not admitted to the test if he / she scored less than 48 points during the semester. Relocation of semester control in order to improve the positive assessment is not allowed.
