Learning outcomes
Р01. Knowledge to understand key chemical concepts, essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories relating to natural sciences, life and earth sciences, as well as chemical technologies at a level sufficient for professional application and to enable further deep understanding of specialized fields of chemistry. Р13. Skill to analyze and evaluate data, to synthesize new ideas concerning chemistry and its applications. Р21. Ability to monitor and analyze scientific sources of information and professional literature. Р22. Ability to discuss problems of chemistry and its applications in state and foreign languages with colleagues and target audience. Р24. Ability to use modern information and communication technologies for contact and collection, analysis, processing, interpretation of data.

"Chemistry of Rare Elements" is an integral part of the cycle of professional training of inorganic chemist of educational qualification level "Bachelor" requires successful mastering of the courses "General Chemistry" and "Chemistry of Elements".
Course content
"The introductory course provides a basic level to ensure that the ""bachelor"" is well versed in the properties and applications of rare elements and basic compounds and methods of extraction and processing of rare elements. Application and role of compounds of rare elements in the national economy."

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework, tests and laboratory works. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points. Tests + reports of abstracts + current control and survey = 60 + 40 exam = 100 points
