Learning outcomes
Carry out preparation of workplace equipment and personal training for laboratory tests, in compliance with safety and personal protection standards, provide preparation for the study of samples of different origins and their storage. Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances and their mixtures. Demonstrate the use of knowledge about morphological changes of tissues and organs to diagnose pathological conditions, identify erroneous results and take measures to correct them. Verify the results of laboratory tests in the clinic of internal medicine, for the diagnosis of pediatrics, for the diagnosis of surgical diseases.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Cytology and Histology of Man", "Analytical Chemistry", "Medical Chemistry", "Human Anatomy". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of organic and analytical chemistry, physico-chemical foundations of the functioning of living things and morphological structures that provide it. 3. Be able to independently apply previously acquired knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, etc. disciplines, search for new scientific data, work with scientific and methodological literature.
Course content
"Laboratory work technique" is an integrated, interdisciplinary, basic medical and biological discipline, which aims to teach students the theory and practice of clinical diagnostic analysis, deepening knowledge of various types of laboratory methods, including biochemical, morphological (cytological) and microbiological, taking into account professional orientations necessary for the future specialist to master and develop practical skills in conducting laboratory research. Students will gain professional skills in the search and analysis of biomedical information and basic, biomedical, clinical and social knowledge in public health; prevention, diagnosis of human diseases at the individual, family and population levels, necessary for the professional activities of a doctor - laboratory assistant.
