Learning outcomes
1.1 To know the main theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of socio-cultural processes in society. 1.2 To know the specifics and heuristics of socio-cultural analysis. 2.1 To apply theoretical knowledge in the analysis of socio-cultural processes in society. 2.2 To be able to work with documents, data and social information, data from sociological research to analyze socio-cultural processes in society. 3.1 To present a research project. 4.1 To conduct a comprehensive sociological analysis of socio-cultural processes in a particular area of social life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basics of sociology, political science, history, basic sociological theories that explain social interactions, relations and processes. 2. To be able to apply critical analysis, to distinguish between scientific and everyday knowledge, to be able to formulate scientific hypotheses and determine the logic of their verification, to be able to work in a group, to be open to communication, to conduct a scientific discussion.
Course content
I. Socio-cultural processes in modern society. 1. Inversion features of cultural processes. 2. Socio-cultural development of modern Ukrainian society. II. Socio-cultural analysis of social phenomena in the field of cultural life. 3. Problem field of socio-cultural analysis. The study of everyday life as a problem of sociological theory of the XX century and its sociocultural interpretation. 4. Sociological study of the culture of social communities. Constitution of academic and corporate culture. 5. Creation of popular images of mass culture. 6. Peculiarities of Ukrainian identity formation: discussions and interpretations. 7. Visual representation of culture: samples and methodology of study. 8. Multiculturalism and globalization challenges to social identities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, workshop, individual work, presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester grading: 1. Annotated bibliography - 10 maximum points, 6 minimum points. 2. Group and individual work in the classroom - 10 maximum points/6 minimum points. points/6 minimum points. 3. Practical work - 20 points (2 works of 10 maximum or 6 minimum points each) 4. Performing and presenting the results of the research task - 20 points (12 minimum points). Final grade: written exam - 40 points. The minimum score for successful completion (obtaining an overall positive grade) of the exam is 24 points.
