Learning outcomes
The student must know the basic concepts of the mechanisms of basic physiological processes such as respiration, digestion, excretion, metabolism and energy; to acquaint students with the laws of functioning of nervous and muscular tissues, the laws of cell irritation, the mechanisms of occurrence and propagation of excitation. Expand the understanding of the functions of different parts of the central nervous system. To form practical skills and abilities of physiological experiment, which students acquire in the process of laboratory work.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Human Anatomy", "Histology, Cytology and Embryology", "Medical Chemistry", "Bioorganic and Biological Chemistry", "Medical and Biological Physics", "Microbiology, Virology and Immunology", "Latin", "Ethics". 2. Independently apply knowledge anatomy, cytology, chemistry, physics etc. disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have the elementary skills of working with a microscope.
Course content
The discipline involves the acquisition of knowledge by students the regularities of evolution, structural organization and functioning of physiological systems of the human body and the mechanisms of functional connections between them. Knowledge obtained from the discipline "Physiology" is the basement of formation the skills, which can be applied in the field of clinical medicine to substantiate the clinical diagnosis, explain the features of the course of pathological processes, the solution of diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical tasks and in other sciences (pharmacology, hygiene et al.). The subject of the study of the discipline "Physiology" is the functioning of the human body, its organs and systems, as well as the principles and methods of its investigation.
