1. To know and master theoretical knowledge about: Professional terminology: economic - by English and her Ukrainian-language equivalents. Vocabulary that is used in a social and political sphere. Lexico-grammatical and structural and stylistic features of professional texts, cliches inherent to professional texts. Texts of international documents. 2. To practice the skills of: To read scientific professional literature and publicism materials with further exposition of maintenance read in a verbal or writing form with the set degree of completeness. To determine in the read text a theme, position and ideas of author, basic, arguing and illustrating information. To conduct conversation and speak out freely on professional themes with the argumentation of own opinion.

1st Semester Module 1 The language for specific purposes in the system of functional styles. Professional terminology system. Module 2 Lexis and syntax of scientific speech. 2nd Semester Module 1 Text organization in scientific and publicism speech Module 2 Linguistic design of secondary texts based on the source text

Practical classes

1. Two content modules, each of 10 points - 20 points; 2. Current control of progress: written assignments – 10 points auditorial work – 10 points lexis – 10 points translation – 10 points - 40 points in total; 3. Comprehensive final module: home reading in the specialty – 20 points; vocabulary and grammar test – 20 points - 40 points in total.
