PLO 1. Understand the specifics and peculiarities of the implementation of cultural ideas, images and meanings, as well as critically evaluate the possibilities of their interpretation for solving socially significant problems. PLO 2. Analyze textual and visual sources of information on cultural phenomena and processes, verify information in accordance with professional tasks. PLO 6. Communicate fluently in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing to discuss professional issues, present research results and projects. PLO 13. Plan and carry out scientific and applied research in the field of cultural studies, generate and test hypotheses, collect evidence and argue conclusions.

Full-time form

The student must successfully master the following disciplines: "English Language Practice", "Communicative Strategies of a Foreign (English) Language", "Modern Cultural Space (by Language)", and know: basic linguistic concepts; principles of language material analysis; features of semantics, structure and functioning of units of all levels of the English language; be able to: apply linguistic tools in practice; have basic skills of selection, analysis and interpretation of linguistic facts; communicate on linguistic topics.

The purpose of the discipline is to assess deep professional knowledge of a foreign language for professional activities in the field of cultural studies, cultural anthropology, ethnocultural studies. Annotation. The final exam is a comprehensive form of control and state certification of master's graduates. The certification is based on the assessment of the level of professional knowledge, skills and abilities of graduates, which is provided for by the educational and qualification characteristics of specialists in the relevant field of study, specialty, specialization.

The final exam in English is designed to finally determine the level of English proficiency of specialists who receive a master's degree. The purpose of the exam is to establish the actual compliance of the graduate's level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty (field of study). The final examination consists of four tasks: 1) written annotation in English of a Ukrainian-language philological text (4000 printed characters); 2) oral answer to a theoretical question; 3) oral abstracting of an English-language philological text (4000 printed characters) with further morphological and syntactic analysis of the underlined five text fragments; 4) oral interview on the topic of the master's thesis.

Knowledge control. The assessment of knowledge, which is revealed at four consecutive stages, is carried out in accordance with the criteria for evaluating students' answers at the final examination of the Master's degree program.
