Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO 6. To use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized problems and problems of professional activity. PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 21. Collect, document, systematize folklore material.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: "Ukrainian Folklore", "Ethnography of Ukraine", "History of Folklore Studies", "Theory of Folklore", "Mythology", "Dialectology". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of Ukrainian folk art; folklore genres. 3. Possession of the methodology for identifying the existence of certain folklore genres in a particular locality; cooperation with an informant; description of modern life and everyday life of the area under study; description of the creative style of the most talented performers - carriers of folklore. 4. The ability to use the acquired knowledge to organize the collected folklore material by genre and thematic classification; to transcribe samples of musical genres.
Course content
Folklore practice is an important form of educational and independent research work of the second-year students of the OPP: "Folklore Studies, Ukrainian Language and Literature and Foreign Language" and an integral part of their training as highly qualified specialists. The educational folklore practice is the first independent work of a student outside the educational institution, which makes it possible to apply the knowledge acquired during the course on folk art. The main condition for the effectiveness of the folklore expedition is a clear organization of students' independent work and compliance with certain didactic principles: systematic, consistent, unified requirements.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Consultation with a supervisor, an individual plan of folklore practice approved by the head of the practice; a detailed written report on the completion of folklore practice (organized, classified and certified material from the decoded sessions with respondents); an organized, certified audio report of work with respondents; defence of reporting documentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The defense of the reporting documentation takes place at the reporting conference. Participation in the discussion of the results of the folklore practice is worth a maximum of 10 points. All types of work have a total - in the maximum dimension 100 points, - in the minimum dimension - 60 points. The student is allowed to participate in the final assessment if he or she has completed all the work provided for in the plan. - Final assessment: differentiated credit The total number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for all types of work. The grade is based on the results of the student's work and does not include additional assessment measures.
