Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the socio-political process;
2. Be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of politics, socio-political processes and events;
3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline "Social and Political Studies" is part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of study of the discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Methods: lecture, seminar, independent work.
Learning activities during the semester:
Oral response (presentation of a group project on seminar topics). Independent individual work (abstract and analytical review of the source). Final control work (test)
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester grade is formed by the points received by the student in the process of
mastering the material from the entire course. The total grade for the semester consists of the points received for classroom work (oral reports (presentations)) and for independent work (abstract and analytical review of the source, writing an analytical study, presentations).
All types of work for the semester are summarized:
- maximum 80 points
- minimum 48 points
In case of absence from the seminar, the student must complete the assignment in writing - an essay, an abstract and analytical review of sources, an analytical study.
Final control works in the form of a test - LO 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.4, 4.1, 4.2 - 6 / 10 points each (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
The total number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final tests.
