Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the course, students of higher education should learn the elements of rhetorical techniques and models of public speaking, be able to effectively apply practical techniques of organizing effective public speaking in their professional activities, the possibilities of their appropriate application, the rules of composing texts, acquire skills in working with scientific and professional literature in the field public broadcasting.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic rules, techniques and techniques of speech communication and public speaking (speech in front of an audience of listeners). 2. Be able to clearly and logically express and argue one's own opinion, effectively persuade, appropriately ask questions and competently answer them. 3. To have elementary skills to conduct a business conversation, compose one's speech, perceive and analyze the speeches of others, develop one's own oratorical style.
Course content
Mastering of special terminology and assimilation of the meaning of meanings related to the discipline: public speech, public speaking, oratory, speech communication, oratorical style, rhetoric, and others. Clarification of the main communicative competences and their potential and significance in the professional activity of a museologist. Familiarity with types and genres of public speaking and intercultural communication, practical rhetoric. Familiarization with the theory and practice of the art of eloquence (public speaking) in the world scientific tradition from ancient times to the present. Elucidation of the role and significance of outstanding representatives of oratorical art both in Ukraine and abroad. Mastering techniques and techniques of public speaking speech and practical rhetoric. The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminar classes and independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ЗМ1) includes topics 1–8, content module 2 (ЗМ2) includes topics 9–14.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points obtained from the topics of two content modules: - points received for modular control works; - points received for reports, additions, surveys and discussions at seminars; - points received for independent work. The total amount of points is 100 points (of which, the semester evaluation is a maximum of 100 points). The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
