PR01. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural and socio-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization. PR14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, determine relevant aspects in fundamental and applied areas of research, develop and manage projects in the field of geography, nature management, urban and regional development. PR15. Independently assess key trends in the development of natural, social and geographical processes for the formation of new areas of scientific research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Obtained bachelor's degree and successful mastery of the disciplines "Quality of life of the population of cities and regions", "Contemporary Debates in Human Geography", "Urbolaboratory (Urban lab)"; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical and applied foundations of social and economic geography, urban geography, regional development management, urban and regional planning, the concept of sustainable development; 3. Formed skills to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the features of natural and social processes in geographical envelopes, to develop, manage and manage projects of a geographical and interdisciplinary focus, to evaluate and ensure the quality of works, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment and monitoring of resources and territories, to forecast the development of geographical processes and phenomena.
Course content
The educational discipline contributes to the understanding of the logic of the modern development of urbanization as a spatial phenomenon that determines the main features of the organization of society - territorial, economic, social and ecological, forms systems of urban settlements at the local, regional, national and global levels, leads to the emergence of new contents of urban formations. The course outlines the features of the impact of globalization processes on the functioning of cities and possible trends of their development in this context, as well as analyzes acute problems existing in the urban environment. The trends in the development of cities in the conditions of the neoliberal political economic doctrine of the world are analyzed. Content part 1. Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of meaningful parts, thematic control works are conducted. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), a mandatory condition for admission to the exam is to write essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. The discipline ends with an exam. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points. Mandatory for admission to the exam is the completion of all creative works and cases, successful writing of tests, presentations and reports at seminars.
