Learning outcomes
PR03 Possess knowledge in the field of basic sciences (ecology, botany, dendrology, plant physiology, genetics and selection of ornamental plants, soil science of urban ecosystems, agricultural techniques of growing ornamental plants, design, formation and operation of components of garden objects, protection of ornamental plants from pests and diseases, mechanization of gardening, etc.) to the extent necessary for specialized professional work in the field of gardening. PR04 Have methods of observation, description, identification, classification, selection, microclonal propagation, cultivation of ornamental plants and plant horticultural groups, to maintain their decorative, stability and stability under different conditions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the structure of vegetative organs of plants, basics of plant physiology, dendrology, microbiology, entomology. 2. Be able to determine the types of plant tissues, deviations in plant morphology, disorders of physiological processes in woody, shrubby and flowering plants. 3. Have basic skills in working with a light microscope, making temporary drugs; collection and processing of material in the field and laboratory conditions.
Course content
The course examines the evolution of parasitism in microorganisms, aspects of plant-pathogen interaction, pathogen attack factors, main groups and types of diseases of trees, shrubs and flowering plants, their impact on condition, sustainability, productivity of greenery and their protective sanitary and hygienic properties. modern means and methods of protection of garden and park facilities.
