Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
> To know human anatomy in accordance with the level of the school discipline "Biology"
> To be able to independently use knowledge of the above disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and methodological literature.
> To possess skills of note-taking, systematization and assimilation of information.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form a holistic view of the patterns of organization of the human nervous system and the basic mechanisms of its functioning, in particular, the structural features of different parts of the nervous system and its role in the regulation of mental functions. Understanding that the basic functions of the nervous system are the basis for higher mental functions, and the processes of functioning of nervous structures are largely determined by their structure and interconnections.
The subject of the discipline is the structure of the human nervous system, the evolutionary processes that led to this organization and the functions of both individual nerve cells and their groupings.

A student receives a positive grade (pass) only if he or she successfully completes the module tests.
Students who score less than 60 points in total during the semester, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points, pass the test. The test is conducted in the form of a written final paper on the subject of the course and an individual task with anatomical illustrations, which are evaluated at 20 points.
